TOPIC: TURN AWAY FROM SIN.
SCRIPTURE: "Even now,” says the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; and tear your hearts and not your garments.”-Joel 2:12-13
ACTION POINT FOR THE DAY: Let your repentance come from your heart and not your lips.
It has become a norm for people to say "I am a born again" but there seems to be no difference between unbelievers and them. Many people give their lives to Christ only in church and collect it back immediately they leave the church. So much confession with the mouth but the heart is still resolute on living the old sinful life.
In the 80s and 90s, when you see a bornagain, there is no need for the person to let you know, you literally see Christ in them in character, dress, association, speech, relationship and way of life. It is too plain to see but in this generation, we have so much people who are quick to introduce themselves as born again but appearance, character, speech and way of life speaks otherwise.
Today, God is calling us, He is not interested in lip service born again but a heart that truly reflects Christ in totality. A life which heaven and men can testify to, both in the open and in the secret. A heart that has truly turned from evil and not a disguised heart filled with sin but clothed with fine garment like a white washed tomb filled with rottenness but glittering outside. Beloved, it's a call for total repentance in every aspect of our lives. Today, listen to his voice and harden not your heart. lace fabric evening wears
DON'T FORGET: Let your repentance come from your heart and not your lips.
MY COUNSEL:
1). Ask God for the grace of a broken heart and a contrite spirit.
2). Repent totally from your heart and not by lip service.
3). Set apart time to seek God to help you.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, help me to live and be like Christ daily in Jesus Name.
Let Christ be the reason you celebrate Lent and Valentine, if Christ is not in your celebration then you are giving glory to Satan.
